Greetings Homeschooling Families,
I too am a Catholic Homeschooling Mom of 7, most of who are graduated. As Wife and Mother first and foremost, I have also been teaching and tutoring High School Mathematics in my local area for homeschoolers for several years.
I will be offering On-Line Math Courses again this fall (2013) and I am now inviting families to consider signing up. The following are the details, my credentials, teaching philosophy and references.
If you or anyone in your Home school group is interested in these classes, please contact me soon as these classes will fill quickly, my information is at the top of this page, and I will be happy to send you the registration information or you can visit my website: www.homeschoolmathclasses.com and register there.

Cost: $180/year per student.
Textbook: Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 | Larson, published by McDougal Littell, 2001
Class size: 8 student limit each class, however I can change the capacity if necessary.
Classes will come to you by use of WebEx, a conferencing server…click on a link in your email and join the class each week. You will see me in the right corner of your screen and the rest of the screen is a whiteboard in which you will see math problems worked. This is a virtual class, you can ask questions and I can talk to you. Each class begins with 20 – 30 minutes of student’s questions about homework problems, then 45 minutes for new material. We generally cover the entire book. Classes are recorded for students who miss a class and would like to view it at a later time.
Practice problems are assigned each week. Once the student has mastered them and is confident, he may advance to the one weekly assignment on Web Assign, an on-line math homework tutorial.
It is this assignment each week and the Chapter Tests, also on Web Assign, that will be used to calculate the course grade. It’s quite simple and unique.
Web Assign is a useful resource in this type of work. It is not multiple choice. The student works the problem and inputs the answer. The student sees immediately if his answer is correct. If it’s not he tries again. Therefore he is finding his own errors.
