Classical Dialogue: (for 7th-10th graders)

When: Fridays = sign-in at noon
Classes from 12:15– 3:00 PM
September 7 – December 14 (excluding Thanksgiving week)
Jan – May for 14 weeks (exact dates yet to be determined)
Where: the Hahns’ home (718 Belleview Blvd.)
What: Kimberly Hahn, Shana Buck, Jeanette Roberts and Marianne DuBois will offer the following:
*History for all: American History (1776 – present day)
*Fine Arts of the period (powerpoint presentations) for all
*Two levels of literature with guided discussion from or about that period
*Two levels of the Institute for Excellence in Writing
~Levels A and B for novice writers:
A for beginners; B for intermediate writers
~Level C for more advanced writers
*Speech: Biweekly, each student will present a written piece to a small group.
Who: 7th-10th graders, but a slightly younger or older child could be a good fit.
We have 20 openings for Levels A and B; 10 openings for Level C.
Students can be registered for one or both of the advanced levels. Parents can call Kimberly to discuss what would be best for their children.
Parental involvement: You are welcome to attend, but that is not required.
There will be assignments for each class on a Week-at-a-Glance sheet.
We will be grading assignments.
Registration: $150.00 per child per semester ($135.00 for the 2nd child; $120.00 for a 3rd).
Curriculum: Not included in registration fee.
